Stone Italiana celebrates three decades of activity by delving into
antiquity for inspiration to create StoneRoc, a new product range in
natural shades of porphyry.
Historically known for its hardness
and strength, porphyry was used for construction by the Etruscans and
Romans in ancient times.
Despite its strength, the presence of small
cavities in natural porphyry limits its use in large thin sheets. For
this reason Stone Italiana has decided to combine the colours of
porphyry with the strength of quartz to recreate the rarest shades of
Tebe grey, Luxor brown and Petra beige.
StoneRoc is available in three finishes: Polished, Grain and RocFace (macro
textured surface).
RocFace finish reproduces irregular and random
movements on the surface, unique in each slab, that underlines the
natural character, even granting the uniform thickness all over the
surface.
